Route 66 Beach Sprints
The race happens as part of the Route 66 Beach Festival happening August 28-30 at Arcadia Lake in Edmond, just minutes north of downtown Oklahoma City.
The weekend begins with a one-day USRowing Beach Sprints Clinic on Friday, then two days of 250m beach sprints racing. Prelims on Saturday; finals on Sunday. Plus live music, food trucks and a great beach vibe all day long.
USRowing Beach Sprints Clinic
Whether you’ve raced beach sprints before or it’s a first, you’ll want to come for the USRowing Beach Sprints Clinic on Friday, Aug 28. It’s being led by US National Team Coach Marc Oria and will include several national team athletes. This afternoon session will cover the beach run, boat transitions, rules, techniques & race strategy. Exact times TBD. Fee is $25 and you can sign up on Regatta Central.
