Yes! The Route 66 Beach Festival is a free event, but there is a $10 fee per car to get into Arcadia Lake – so basically the parking fee.
Yes, the Route 66 Beach Festival is made for families who want to spend a fun day outdoors listening to music, watching Beach Sprints racing and in general having an amazing day together.
You have a couple of options when it comes to parking for the Route 66 Beach Festival. We’ll have lots of onsite parking. Come to the Edmond Park entry gate for Arcadia Lake ($10 per car fee) south of the intersection of Route 66 (Second Street) and Midwest Blvd. Once you enter the lake grounds you’ll be directed to the festival parking area. You will also be able to park in downtown Edmond and ride the CityLink shuttle to the festival. Park in the free lot at the corner of First & Littler just south of City Hall to hop on the free shuttle. It’s a great option if you want to either start or end your day enjoying shops and dining in Edmond’s downtown.
Sure – bring your ice chest and stay for the day! Ice, water, sodas and snacks are all great, but please don’t bring alcoholic beverages. We will have beer for sale along with lots of food trucks offering lots of food options for the day!
Yes, we will have beer sales at the festival for those over age 21 (ID required).
Yes, the Route 66 Beach Festival is going to be an annual event! We look forward to making this an annual family destination – a great way to wrap up the summer at Arcadia Lake.
Yes! We’d love for you to race in the Route 66 Beach Sprints. If you’re ready to race, you can register on Regatta Central when registration opens next spring. Even if you don’t have experience in Beach Sprints or rowing or kayaking – we can teach you what you need to know. We’ll have training clinics in advance of the festival (watch for details here or email us to get more info).
Accessible parking is located at the University of Central Oklahoma Arcadia Lake Boathouse as you pull into the Festival. Edmond Park has accessible restrooms and there will be viewing from the paved parking lot at north edge of the festival. Vendors and food trucks will also be parked on the lot and so will be accessible.
